Change Is Good?

It’s almost the end of January and as I look back I wonder where the month has gone, especially when it comes to writing. I’ve been busy behind the scenes. Of course, with all that’s happening in the world, writing about frivolous things at times feels uncomfortable. Yet, putting a little sunshine in our lives helps us make it to another day.

A cozy mystery on a blog

So what have I been doing to further my writing career? First and foremost I’ve been writing. I am working on finishing what I started on this blog, The Accidental Tryst, the coming together of two amateur sleuths who are rivals in their small Minnesota area. The story on this blog is rough, before editing, so my readers can see how unpolished things are at the beginning. I am not publishing any more of the story or the changes here. You will have to wait to find out the ending when the book is published. I will tell you a secret, I still don’t know the ending. Granny and Jezabelle are revealing it to me as I write.

Another little project I am having fun with is The Pink Percolator. My new YouTube Channel and my new blog. I interview authors, real people, and whoever. We have coffee and conversation and I learn more about my guests right along with those that watch. Eventually, when I learn the ropes we’ll do it live on Facebook or YouTube. I hope you check it out and make sure to subscribe so you get the updates.

You might ask, “Why the name Pink Percolator?” If you’ve read my Fuchsia Series you will remember Delight Delure’s Pink Teapot and Coffeepot shaped bistro. It is one of my favorite places so I decided to carry on the theme in more business ventures.

Most writers need something away from writing to keep us inspired or to break up writer’s block so I added some updates on my Zazzle store, Hermiony’s Pink Percolator. That is where I create cups, shirts, greeting cards, and other miscellaneous items. The latest design is on its way to me so I can see it before it’s for sale. I am also looking into an added venue along with Zazzle for -t-shirts and art prints. Who knows, someone might want to buy a print or a canvas of my ugly art. I am smiling when I say that because I have fun with whatever comes into my mind. I am not an artist and it’s ok if people tell me I’m not an artist. But I do have fun. A little side note on purchasing if you are interested: Zazzle offers codes every day for discounts. Keep an eye on what discount is happening on certain days may get you up to 40 and 50 percent off some items. Plus, if you have the Honey app installed it helps you find discounts.

My newest book, A Small Town Can Be #Murder, is now available as a Kindle Unlimited read too. It was voted one of Lori Caswell’s top 20 reads of 2020 on her Escape to Dolllycas site. I feel honored as she reads many books in a year. Thank you, Lori.

And last but not least I am going to be taking a poll on my Facebook page. I want to know my readers reading habits as to what e-readers you use or whether you prefer paperbacks or audiobooks. Please come on over and let me know.

News Flash: Granny Hooks A Crook is now permanently free on Amazon, Apple iBooks, BarnesandNoble.com, and Kobo.

Until next time. My book reviews will also be switching to The Pink Percolator Blog. If you’re interested pop on over there and see what I’m reading. Be patient, it is a work in progress.

Have a beautiful week.

Life is full of beauty. Notice it. Notice the bumble bee, the small child, and the smiling faces. Smell the rain, and feel the wind. Live your life to the fullest potential, and fight for your dreams.
